A Vacant Heartfelt Love Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

A Vacant Heartfelt Love

Traveling down tracks in the snow, hearing the whistle somewhere
in the distance, wondering where the music is coming from that's
being heard.

Looking up at the sky, seeing rays of a full moon lighting the
way, not knowing where this night will end up taking this lonely
and broken heart.

Hoping for some peace and tranquility, needing it more than any-
thing right now in life, feeling lost, forlorn, a heart of emptiness
flowing throughout this being.

Still hearing the wail of a distant train whistle, wondering when
and if it will appear tonight, mind touching memories of yesterday
with the intensity of a vacant heartfelt love.
