A Time To Reflect Poem by Marilyn Lott

Sometimes we come to a place
Where we need to stop and reflect
Look at the past and study it
Look at it straight on and direct.

What has been working for us
And what needs to disappear?
Toss out the "junk" we don't need
What is good for us we hold near.

God is up there waiting, don't forget
If we are able to say a simple prayer
For that can help to get us through it
You will find that He truly does care.

Try meditation in a comfortable position
Take deep breaths, stretch and relax
I love yoga, for it can do miracles
For our nerves may be tight and taxed.

Eat healthy, drink plenty of water
Take walks, perhaps we have a dog
Smile and relax - yes I am repeating
Help bring us out of the unhealthy fog.

For we only have one life so let us do
Whatever brings to our heart a smile
Whatever will make us feel fulfilled
Let us try it, my friend, for a while.
