A Thousand Pimps Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

A Thousand Pimps

Rating: 0.5

the titanic ball room fills
they dance like wicked elves
i'm in love with a mermaid
she swims amidst the Brooklyn bridge
have you seen the drenched castles
the fallen gargoyles
the silk stained with cynical blue
we keep trying but love is steep

she has seen a thousand pimps
betrayal is just another street corner
does she listen to me with disdain
I am still here
