A Tender Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

A Tender

Rating: 4.0

A tender

I liked him very much
-not as man but his words
-he spoke from heart
-and his was as was mine
-angry with the things
-that happened around us
- "We are dogs of the dog! "

He was right
He was right
He was right

And it burned deep inside
-from head to the toes
-and also
-upside-down

We shouted,
-risked our lives
-faced bullets
-gave blood
-in fear, on the run

Then he came
-then Saddam
-and the war

Excuse that he took
-and he changed
-an angel turned devil
-slowly

I distanced…
-slowly he got worse
-therefore I, hated him

But always word of heart
-is written and declared
-we both said:
- "Down with the big Satan"
-that meant, means USA;
-so tender:
- "Want grave to hide me of this shame…
-human? See BC, Caracas and Rigga to Mosul and Khadr…"
