A Still Voice. Poem by Sudipta Bhattacharyya

A Still Voice.

A still voice woke me up
From my deep slumber.
I was enjoying happiness
In my mid day nap;
All of a sudden, a voice
From too far away
Woke me up;
I am now full of drudgery.
A still voice woke me up.

To that voice,
I whispered, " Let me sleep
An endless eternity....".
It's not too late to respond,
To seek a newer world;
Alas! my voice became choked.
What I uttered, a still voice.
