A Solitary Lighthouse-Part 2 Poem by Jean Dament

A Solitary Lighthouse-Part 2

As the evening draws near & shadows now eerily take form,
A dramatic silhouette surrenders upon the rugged coastline,
One of beauty & strength that can withstand any storm,
Appearing stronger there... struggling against time;
And yet there remains a softness to this scene;
Where golden, rose sunsets rest by it's side & lies out with the tides,
Although the weather can suddenly turn quite mean,
This statuesque lighthouse stands silently firm; as a shelter where troubled souls can abide.
