A Shadow's Oath Poem by Locura Alaam

A Shadow's Oath

Rating: 3.8

He didn't know what to say
Not even on that day
When his love sat right there
Her aura filled the air
He looked in her eye
And saw Heaven so nigh
An Angel she seemed to be
Or the goddess is she...

'Divine', he thought, 'is beauty
Such as the one with thee
Infinite -, as may seem to be, -
Thou art -, mother of beauty, -
In mystery, that hath never shown
A clue; a goddess of the dawn! '
But never did he say a word
Or of silence ever got bored...

A smile so innocent was drawn
On her lips and to him was shown
But all he did was close his eye
Wait for a moment, then turn with a sigh
'Fade, my dear, fade far away
Just for the moment, or be it today
But know that I will, without my sorrow
From the shadow crawl, to thy called morrow...'
