A Self Confidence Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

One need not destroy self confidence
There may occur many incidences
You can remain true to your own conscience
You must react positively at once

People may try to influence by their sweet words
You must aim for higher and always look forward
You will be carried away by floods and swept
If you remain negligent and inapt

Many a times occasion may rise
You must act honest but look very wiser
If you are forced to take decision
That should be perfect and with precision

A person can be cheated once in life time
He may draw an appropriate lesson and act for time to come
The learning stage is over and it is now time to put in practice
You may be caught unaware if do not take notice

I have come across many friends who used to cry after failure
They had enough time and opportunity to prepare
It was left to delay and misguided by different advices
This all led to crisis and had to withdraw from promise

If promises were given then it must be honored
It must be adhered to with all options explored
Still if it is not feasible to implement or accede to
There must prevail some kind of willingness to concede

You need not act as philosopher to guide the people
They are ably assisted and probably very much capable
But still at some point of given time they are carried away
The opportunity which was on hand is slipped and given way

You do whatever you feel like to do
But take care to see that some part of it is near to truth
You will have some room left to explain your conduct
You can come out of it easily and assertively instruct




It is easy to cheat others convincingly
People may accept it also willingly
You may have no liability to admit on your part
Still that may drive you to feel apart

You may also present comfortably to world
Still it will hurt you from within and develop cold
It may not allow you peace of mind
You will not be able to have peace or find

Never kill a conscience even if lot of interest is at stake
It may make you restless and keep you all the time awake
You may loose all the peaceful environment and driven to discomfort
The ship may run aground even after reaching to safe port
