A Reverie Poem by Jaime Montanez Salcedo

A Reverie

O love, that inspires the soul to reverie
Of vision with pale, rosy complexion,
Carmine glossy lips with love impish glee,
Narrating their passionate intention
In silent quivering her ardent plea.
The fervent glances of endless fascination
Of her eyes where starlight wanders free,
And joyfulness emanates in profusion
Filled with sweet warmness and ecstasy.
Enraptured in her gestures coquettish,
Is the presence in my mind, ceaselessly,
Of her vision to worship and cherish,
And to whom I surrender devotedly,
As for always has being my most dear wish.
