A Reminiscence Poem by Rommel Galicia

A Reminiscence

Back then, I mused the colors of the rainbow
I felt every warm embrace of the summer wind
And bewildered by the blooms on the meadow
It was a moment of solace and dream I rarely did find.

Back then, I had lived with the bliss of life
Even if each day was a to and fro plight
Yet I was without a feeling of disdain and strife
As I held onto an earnest promise, a pinky swear alike.

Back then, you were the colors of the raindbow,
A warm summer wind that I had longed and wished for
To cuddle my every solace and dream through
In a place we built with trust, love and splendor.

Back then, was the time I can only think of
When the bareness of the sea was untouched and unsubdued
Its ripples were once like a sweet lullaby that kept my abode
And nay a tempesthad passed and left
a wound.
