A Hero Has Fallen Poem by Rommel Galicia

A Hero Has Fallen

Did you just leave by the sea
Or by the land or up by the air?
Your mortal pieces I can't see
And yet are flooded with a tear.

Did their praises and accolades heal
A grieving heart as you left alone
Faced the end of life's arduous ordeal,
Gone and be called a hero or heroine?

Can't you hear? I am singing a sad song
I wish its melodies go with the wind
And where ever I amI shall long
And feel You in my heart and mind.

I know, they know, we all do
Your passing shall not be in vain
A hero has bravely fallen like you
For us to live and rise for a new dawn.
