A Dream



I dozed off and had a dream
A starry night was on a gleam

To the shore the ripples came
Through the cold wind's lane.

I heard a sound oh the sea from
It's silence unfolded like a drum.

I held your arms gently
And felt the moment lovely.

I had a wonderful dream last night
Like a love song I longed to write.
