A Relationship With God Is Much More Than Just To Hope And Trust Poem by Gert Strydom

Sometimes the Lord expects a person to hope and trust,
even if it seems as if everything is out of control, as if nothing can stop calamity,
where others despise God as if He does not exist, to still honour Him,
to have trust almost past every human ability,
and the things God does is not always in sight, before a person's eyes,
even when life jerks to a halt everything is in control,
more than principles this might be tough to learn:
to implacable trust on God's omnipotence,
that I do not alone against destiny do reach out in the dark
and when everyone and everything fails I am not alone,
where God and His angels do still a person preserve:
when I do not know how events fit into God's plan,
He and His angels is present in each event
and this is much more than just to hope and to trust.
