A Question Poem by Thomas William Bland Bennett

A Question

Why is this feeling so hard to find,
Another with the same state of mind,
More than a physical need hidden behind eyes,
Beauty and depth of two souls combined,
What was once so easy now so hard find,
A need of something more than bodies entwined,

So with this I inquire what is your true desire,
Does your heart burn also with a greater fire,
Longing and wanting more with the one,
Or do you yearn only for a single moment of fun,
Only sharing one simple pleasure or do you long for an eternity together....
