A Pushcart Street Seller Poem by Birbal Singh

A Pushcart Street Seller

Rating: 5.0

Under the fierce sun,
the coal black road burns,
among honks and beeps
all parched and drenched
she pushes the cart,
filled with miscellaneous, cheap pieces.
Stuff she doesn't price much
But she does value one,
who sleeps in the hammock,
in the shadow of the cart
between the wheels,
A piece of her heart.
