A Precious Moment (To A. C.) Poem by John Thorkild Ellison

A Precious Moment (To A. C.)

I don't know what to make of this,
My peace was shattered by a kiss!
Will you appease this hungry heart?
Such dreams could tear my soul apart!
I really don't know what to say,
It happened only yesterday,
I don't deserve this taste of bliss!
Can it be true? Can it be real?
I can't explain the way I feel,
I simply want to be your friend,
Be your companion to the end! !
