A Posionous Exit Poem by asaolu kolawole ifedayo

A Posionous Exit

Beside this piglet pit
where wild odorous pine lives
laid my head covered
with innocent blood of rhythm of tears
and no lullaby rendered as allegro
to this tongue of new moon
seeking for her white water for thirst

and i was lonely
for the tenderness of my mother's tourch
earth stilled, and baby breath beckons
to the cold snow dropping
on the abstint growing round
its stagnant stream.

But this is not my previous paradise
where i ride on my diamond toy
and mimic tne voices of God's angels
a forest of sorrow
to my first sight on another kingdom
when am just a day year old
but this is my own obituary

O! Go away, you this stinking pig
and let the curtain of nightfall breaks
the arrival of morning saint
and maybe i will survive this death again
but ah! so so soon, you have bitten my leg
and made my heart writhe in pain
a succulent skull broken
and your bowel is now my breathing grave
to be preserved not as a child
but as a product of your bile

Dear mother, why did you called me from my wholesome city
when you know you did not need my kiss and love?
out of my million mates
i won that race for you
coming to this vainful earth
to love thee better than friends
But mother, where is my living freedom?
where is my freedom to be your promising child?
Today, my mother killed me again.

Dedicated for a newborn baby who was dropped at a pit by her mother and was later eaten by A PIG.
