A poem's like a window
That opens up to the world.
Words that crackle like a crow,
Ah sing here like a songbird.

To dear K Mahakul, Khairul Ahsan, and poet Rose Marie, Thanks indeed for rating this poem so well. Well, the first two lines began well, but I think I could not keep the impact in the remaining two lines, or so I feel. But thanks for your great feedback
Your poem " A Poem Is Like A Window" is a beautiful poem based on metaphor. I love each line. Wonderful imaginary. Five stars.
'Words that crackle like a crow, Ah sing here like a songbird' - True, so nicely described! A poet is indeed like a window, through which the poet can look out to the world outside, and readers of the world outside can see the poet's inside.
The last two lines should read: 'A poem is indeed like a window, through which the poet can look out to the world outside, and readers of the world outside can see the poet's inside.'
What a wonderful and unique description of a poem. Very encompassing. I concur with these wonderful thoughts of a great Poet. To my Poem List and Five Stars! ! !

I agree with your contention! Poems are a window opening to the world. Also a window to let out our inner thoughts to the world outside. It also serves as a magic key to open many hearts!
