A Mournful Cry Poem by Craig Mize

A Mournful Cry

Rating: 4.0

Last night I cried a thousand tears,
Today I'm sure I'll cry a thousand more,
And tomorrow won't be any different.
I can't help but to think of you,
As your image invades my thoughts.
And again the tears begin to fall.

I believe that death is the easy part of life;
It's the living part that is hard,
And living without you is the hardest.
Everyday my mind gets bombarded
With thoughts of why it was you.
I wish that it was me. Then again,
I would hate for you to feel this pain.

Last night I cried a thousand tears,
Today I'm sure I'll cry a thousand more;
And tomorrow won't be any different.
Sitting here wishing that I had just one,
Just one more day here with you.
But instead I'm sitting here crying,
Crying these mournful tears.
