A Mothers Day For All Poem by Uma Pochampalli Goparaju

A Mothers Day For All

Medium build or tall,
Slim or short of all,
However they are, all
Cherish motherhood

Vive and energetic
Falling for someone
Either very special
Or whatever they are

May be marriage
Arranged, or of love
May be living together
Or thrusted upon,

Each of them change
As transiting to a mom
Everywhere she goes
She takes her baby bump

No more boisterous,
Nor running around
As long as she carries
The growing little one

Hung to her as a baby
Growing step by step
They hang to her rims
Cry until held in arms

As the story goes
So the baby eats
Sleeps soundly and
Quietly, as mom works

Each year on mothers day
There are these little gifts
That she cannot hold her joy
Reaching farther than the sky

To all those moms who worked
And all the ones who hope to
Ones who just are always moms,
Here's 'Happy Mothers' Day! '
