A Moth's Desire - Poem by Shamik K. Bose

I ask the Moth
Tell me What doth desire
The Moth tells
In Fire

I am puzzl'd
Ask the same
The Moth tells me again
In Fire

I ask you are Ugly
Not like a Butterfly
Who doth only wonder
For the womb of a flower

The beauty in her wings
Arouses my sense
The Moth replies
It must be a sheer nonsense

I am again puzzl'd
I ask what that means
The Moths replies
A Beauty that only prevails

I ask What is that Beauty
Tell me in some sense
The Moth replies
Then make a deep dive

I am again puzzl'd
I ask what to do
The Moth responds
The answer lies in You.

It must be a sheer nonsense.................
.dappled wing of beauty yet riffles
luscious glow seems to reel through sense, evocatively ingenious that awes by eloquence of imagery,10+++, thanks for sharing (Report) Reply

    very nice and thought provoking.
beauty lies in the eye of a beholder.
everything is beautiful in its own way.
and yes its true the answers lie in us......
