Hush, child! Do not remain in ache
Life is never too aching, never!
Hush! Hush! You must turn your back
Lest you won't accomplish the cure
Hush to the pains, hush to the weak neck
Let your eyes dry of tears
There's no rationale for such sensitivity
To the inconsolable insolence
To scream and cry and fainting-leggy
When daddy is all the cause
There in the brown coffin his body
Hush! Where is your mommy?
Hath she lain asleep too?
Hush! Hush! Off the ears of me
The pathetic sore howl of you
Just be strong be vicious like a bee
Life is never a fairytale story
Hush, child! Hush!
