A Lover Once Lost. Poem by Teigan Klippel

At first it was bliss
but than it turned into something that i must of missed
how could i save you
when darling you couldn't even save yourself
i waited for days
i waited for years
and yet you couldn't be mine
and i missed the way it use to be
when it was just you and me
but never again will i feel that way
everything has turned tarnished and grey.

A smile that will never reach my eyes.
A laugh that will never escape my lips
This will never be the same again
never.
What i have lost i could never gain back
what i have abused shall never return
and this hurts more than one could bear
but to all i am human, i swear.

those red lips of yourse
captivate me in more ways than one
the excitment they bring
oh how could i describe it
the feeling they give me
But again i will never feel those lips
i will never feel their shape against mine
their fullness
never again.

And one day we shall meet again
but will it be the same
will we go back to the way we used to be
Will everthing around us cease to exsit
will it be you and i in our own little world
dancing together like we once used to
and i could get used to that
but in the end you will always be my flaw.
