A Little More, A Little Longer Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

A Little More, A Little Longer

You’d want a mug of blood
But all I have is a sip of it
But I’d offer it to you anyway
You need it more than I do
I feel your thirst controlling you
The person in your eyes
Starts to disappear from view
Here, take it, don’t hesitate
I know it’s lesser than expected
But I’ve cut myself for you
Just so I could save you
A little more, a little longer
