A Limerick, 'Bear Habits Laid Bare'

A sobering spirit in Lagen
Can be heard swearing 'Starving's a bargain!
But enough is enough
(Stuff, stuff, stuff, stuff, stuff) .'
Then retreats, hunting bargains again.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Danny Draper 21 April 2012

Starving's a bargain! If the privation is love then for some the bargain may be a happy contract struck willingly to avoid pain and disappointment. Fortress in solitude, perverse in emotion.
