A Heart In The Sky Poem by Layla Stone

A Heart In The Sky

Rating: 5.0

I looked up at the never ending sky
Feeling sad and depressed.
The sky above pale and boring,
A lone cloud blocking out the sun.
Staring up at the lonely cloud,
I thought it was just like me:
Sad, alone, and in the way
Of brighter, better things.
Why am I here?
What's the point?
I'm just a desolate little cloud...
Is God punishing me?
Does He not love me?
Is there even a God up there?
I stared up sadly at the sky
Watching the deserted cloud.
Slowly and discreetly it moved
Out of the suns way.
I felt the warm rays on my skin,
And I almost broke a smile.
Up in the sky,
The cloud was still moving
And it shaped itself
Into a heart...
This time I grinned,
All my questions answered.
Oh yes, God is real,
Not a figment of my imagination,
And he loves me!
I know this because
I saw God draw
A heart in the sky.
