A Girl's Downfall Poem by Xyza Dile

A Girl's Downfall

Rating: 4.6

She used to be that girl
Green hair
Naive smile
A limpid soul, and
Faith so cogent

Mother used to sit by her
Preaching,
Her eyes gloomy,
In a satin voice
So motherly.

That white altar..
Used to be her wishing star
Deluded, stolen
Too ambitious
She's sorry

Today her body lies
In the red light
Swayin' the wrong dance
Walkin' on a twisted path
She can't go back
