A Friend Poem by Shelley Caines

A Friend

Rating: 4.5

Everyone has someone they call a friend,
But where are they when you need them.
Everyone has someone they call a friend,
But where are they when you need a shoulder to cry on.
Everyone has someone they call a friend,
But where are they when you need to talk.
Everyone has someone they call a friend,
But where are they when you have a REAL problem.
Well, I have someone I call a friend,
And they never seem to be there when I need them.
You be my friend, I'll be yours
We'll stick together, like closed doors.
So let me be your real friend,
And we'll help each other 'til the end.

how timely! Last night I woke up in tears but all my friends did not answer their phones.
