I Remember Poem by Shelley Caines

I Remember

I remember the way you used to care
And how you were always there
You may have been a little strict at times
But I didn't really mind
I remember how you were so nice
And how you were so kind
I remember how funny you were
You usually made everyone laugh
I remember the way you used to look
Before you got sick with cancer
I remember how you still kept going
Even with all the chemo therapy
I remember the way you looked in that hospital bed
And I remember the way you looked in the funeral home
You still hold a spot in all of our hearts
And we will never forget you
But most of all
I remember YOU! ! !

Dedicated to my uncle for holding a special spots in all of our hearts. He may not be with us anymore, but he lives on in our memories and in our hearts. We miss you everyday. This poem was writtin in early 2002.
