A Fools Love Poem by John Myles

A Fools Love

If I don't know what I am
I am a man that loves you
And if you don't give a damn
I am a man that's run through

If I don't know where I stand
I'll stand here right beside you
And if you won't hold my hand
My sorrow bleeds down into

The space where your heart and mine
Were once so tightly intertwined
You could not tell One from the other
You could not tell One from the other

If I don't know when I'll die
I know I'll die loving you
And if you never cry
I'll know that I was a fool

Then I will wander the world
Upon a far blown wind
Until I whisper your name
And find my breath drawn into

The space where your heart and mine
Were once so tightly intertwined
You could not tell one from the other
You could not tell one from the other
