A Dropp Is But A Dropp In The Ocean But That Single Dropp Can Make A Difference!

Thoughts on Earth hour......

EARTH HOUR- An hour that ignites our hopes of viewing a sparkling future, an hour which teaches us the important lessons of sustainability and an hour which has grown by leaps and bounds.
The collective fight against climate change starting from the city of Sydney, Australia in the year,2007 has now become a mass movement of growing consciousness and awareness on climate-change and sustainable issues with more than a hundred countries and billion supporters standing for a common cause that’s of “OUR Planet- Earth”, its conservation and its habitants’ harmonious and sustainable co- existence.
It is really wonderful viewing pictures of Sydney’s harbour bridge, Opera house, KL’sPetronas-Twin towers, The Empire State Building, the Eiffel Tower, India Gate, The Rastrapati bhawan, The Taj-Mahal hotel- 26/11 terror testimony, Taipei 101, Beijing’s National Stadium, Peru's Lost City of Machu Picchu and several other landmarks in Hungary, Germany, Rome, Athens and other countries; its nationals, the million households, across the globe contributing their bit by switching all lights and other essential electric appliances for an hour of 26th March at 8: 30 p.m. Amidst them some snaps showing people paying a silent tribute to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan as they make a Korean character, which reads 'night', with candles during Earth Hour in front of N Seoul Tower and people in Manila light candles forming the word 'Earth' to express their solidarity.
What else can you call such togetherness for a symbolic gesture over common climate concern which is sponsored by the World Wildlife fund, except UNITED WE STAND FOR EARTH!
