A Butterfly Flaps Wings In Innocent Cause Effect Flight Poem by Terence George Craddock

A Butterfly Flaps Wings In Innocent Cause Effect Flight

Rating: 5.0

as a single solitary snowball fast thrown
rolling innocent down snow covered slopes
gives birth fatal to an unforseen avalanche

as an earthquake angry shocks fast asleep sleeping land
shaking loose sprung silent earth faultline trap hidden
gives birth to rumble rock shockwave cascading landslide

as gathering storm thunders mind momentum words
echoing spirit soul writer poets inner whispering voice
gives birth to ripple wave growing tsunami flood tides

so a single precious drop of liquid rain dew point
falling from swollen pregnant heavy black rain clouds
as rain or snow can rebirth life kiss shower blanket

sleeping waiting hungry seed receptive fertile ground
nurturing moist life lungs plants trees forests jungles
seeds blueprint flora fauna life milk rebirth regeneration

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Mihaela Pirjol 15 December 2016

As this poem moves through poetic images and comparisons, creating ripples of emotions in the reader's being, so the enumerated apparently insignificant events can cause enormous effects in nature and in human nature. A thoughtful write.
