A Better Place Poem by Allyson Gordon

A Better Place

Rating: 4.5

My life is a roller coaster ride
Like an ocean with a rough tide
A stormy night with clouds of grey
I wonder if it’s ever gonna go away

The constant pressure and pain
Like violent wind and rain
Like an aggressive earthquake
Where the whole world begins to shake

When tears come streaming down my face
I just want to be in a better place
Where no one can be vicious,
Hurtful, mean or malicious

If there were a place like this
It would be such bliss
To see everyone so glad
And nothing was ever bad

So close your eyes,
Imagine, realise
So tonight when you go to sleep
In your dreams, this place shall keep
