A Beautiful Woman Named Death Poem by Alix Mangerian

A Beautiful Woman Named Death

Rating: 4.8

Death sneaks up on you.
And if you're lucky, it'll be like a pretty girl
Tapping your shoulder at a party.
And you'll turn with a knowing smile
Slinking across your lips,
Eyebrow cocked,
Whispering in her ear,
'I didn't know you'd be here tonight.'
And she'd laugh that laugh,
You know the one,
Entwining your fingers together
As she pulls you on to the devil's dance floor.

Not everyone is so lucky.

It hits some people
Like a Mack truck
They never saw coming,
Barreling down a two lane street
They thought they'd cross with ease.
