.5. Tomb Robber Poem by David Threadgold

.5. Tomb Robber

Rating: 5.0

Who went to find the pharaoh’s tomb?
In the Valley of the Kings
Who said he wanted knowledge
Not the treasure that it brings

What told him it was time to dig?
In the deserts baking sand
What led him to an entrance?
Within this foreign land

Why did he have to open it?
Disturbing pharaoh’s rest
Why could he not have left the gold?
He had to take the best?

Where did his fortunes get him?
Having robbed this sacred grave
Where does he get his nightmares?
That changed him to a slave

When will he see an end to it?
The curse locked in his room
When the pharaoh gets his treasure back?
And he seals the royal tomb

Curses and hauntings. Never play with these old superstitions, one never knows what power they hold. Very well written piece and a great storyline. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
