.4. Trees In The Post Poem by David Threadgold

.4. Trees In The Post

Rating: 5.0

Bills in brown envelopes
Statements from bank
Postcard from Torquay
Sent by Uncle Frank

A flyer for carpets
With many price cuts
But only for this week
Before the shop shuts

Fifty eight pages
Of free weekly rag
Tucked in the middle
This week’s TV mag

Trees through the letterbox
Oh what a sin
To read only once
Then throw in the bin

Oh so very true this piece Dave - and a pet subject of mine. We waste the resources as if there were no tomorrow. Thanks for bringing it once more to our attention. Well rhymed and of just the right length to hit where you intended it to. A ten for sure. .....from Fay.
