350 Degrees Poem by Roxanne Dubarry

350 Degrees

Rating: 5.0

Concerned Christians firmly believe God created our oceans, lakes and seas. After creation God bequeathed to man dominion over these.
His people have accomplished very much, and have rewarded him,
by converting his perfect handiwork into a enormous plastic garbage dump!

Previously other nations were sent with all of our love our plastic garbage. Enough is enough they replied. From now on the United States is solely responsible for its own plastic garbage dump.

The oceans of our world are filling the harmful effects of global warming and pollution.Mankind's disastrous misdeeds are creating more human and natural disasters. Hurricanes, tornadoes, and flash flooding is rapidly increasing. Both in their intensities and frequencies. And covering even greater graphic territories.

Resulting in human and animal evacuations, premature death and distractions. We are beginning to reap the benefits of our misdeeds. By failing to care for the least of these! Marine wildlife and birds are being damaged by polluted water caused by oil spills. Plastic garbage is being caught up in their wings, and beaks.

It is enough to make most of us sick with to our stomachs. And speaking of our digestive systems, are we able to digest plastic?
It ends up in the internal organs of fish, oysters, and clams. All of the above are frequently being consumed by humans.

The environmental volunteers and workers are doing their very best. But even trained compassionate humans can not remove 100 percent of the damage!

But isn't plastic recyclable you may freely ask? If a plastic product displays the numbers one or two is it recyclable. In short, it can only be recycled once!

Other countries and other municipalities have either banned or
restricted the usage of plastic garbage bags. Banning or restricting their usage by municipalities is taking much too long!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

God gave us the earth and we destroyed it. People need to start thinking of the earths needs instead of their own. If there is no earth there is no life. A great write.
