24 Poem by Hannah Barham

24

24 hours later
I still
catch your smell
as I walk.
Your sweat caught
in my hair
being blown by the wind.
Your cologne
mingled with my perfume
trailing behind.
If I close my eyes
you're here.
If I close my eyes
I still
feel your body's warmth
nestled against my spine.
If I close my eyes
you never
dropped me off this morning
and you never
read that text
and I never
asked that question.
24 hours later
it's changed
but still
so much the same.
