197. Mother Land Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

197. Mother Land

I will return to you again and again
To care for you like a friend.
With your nursing and care
My tender heart grew up here.

In summer under the shadow of mahogany,
In spring in the breeze from the sea,
I used to read and play always.
Thus I passed my childhood days.

The smell of Jasmine in autumn,
The dew on the grass in late autumn,
Every moment of my childhood days
Plays with me with happiness.

Walking on the muddy path in rainy season,
The sunlight in the winter morn,
Every moment visualises my mind
Day and night- every time.

I wil remember you forever
As you're my mother land like my mother.
Being your loving and caring son
I will return to your chest every season.
