1. 'shackled' Poem by Sonya Carey

1. 'shackled'

I'm a prisoner
Shackled to the floor
Left alone to comprehend
3x6 is my room
Words wrote in blood
Bearing down
Not my fault
Blame I will bear
Eyes see the truth
I'm shackled to the floor

very interesting indeed! ...even if i don't know the whole story. i will suggest WRITTEN instead of wrote, though i'm not sure wrote is wrong/incorrect. also, in the line: ....Blame I will bear.... does this mean you will take the blame as your responsibility or your burden? or do you mean you will expose who/what is to blame...(in which case i would use the word BARE) ? ALSO: in these lines: Bearing down Not my fault Blame I will bear .....i don't understand the bearing down reference. also, it seems on one line you are saying something is NOT your fault, but THEN on the next line you are saying you will take the burden of the blame. well i guess sometimes people do take the blame for something that is someone elses fault. thanks for sharing.
