1 April....(In English)

Rating: 5.0

APRIL 1ST….

In the Netherlands, it reverberates throughout the country on April 1:

On the 1st of April
Alva lost his glasses,
March
moves its tail,
but April
does what it wants.

These are the oldest words from the mouth of the inhabitants of the Netherlands.

These go back to the 80-year war with Spain.
The very small country that has endured itself.

Facing the rich and powerful Spain
Ah, the apples of Orange

But the mighty Alva came with his fleet,
to conquer this very small country,

Alva was in charge,
but he had no power
on our mind,
led by the Almighty Lord,
at that moment our thoughts
showed more
visible intelligence than ever before, because we asked the Lord for help.

But meanwhile the brain thinks
led by God:
it was Alva who lost the war….

Congratulations on April 1
We now have what we want
Peace, sincerity and justice,
His Majesty is our king
Beatrix before
and Willem-Alexander after the coronation

Our current King and Queen Maxima
have one big point more compared to all countries,
they solemnly believe in the Almighty God,
God above all.

I love that
everything sounds so powerful by God and for God!

We had won the 80-year war with Spain,
Due to God, because we had prayed
as one nation for our independence
That day God's miracle took place,
that occurred in Leiden on 1 April

A wonderful and informative write imbued with great spiritual thoughts. If our endeavor is coupled with deep faith in the Lord Almighty, we can achieve what we truly aimed for in life. A brilliant poem well thought out and conveyed.

Happy April Fools' Day either, BUT on this day we are celebrating the Dutch Victory in Leyden in the 80 year war with Spain long time gone.In fact on the 3 Oct but 1 April is better, the Dutch has fooled the Spanish Duke of Alba in the 80 year war with Spain. He came with his mighty fleet, but lost though. Netherlands, a very small country had won this war due to God's help since we prayed.
