1,2,3 Times The Hurt Poem by Claudia Scott

1,2,3 Times The Hurt

The monster you are and the fool you make of me are opposites
You rip my heart out of my chest
I climb out of this hole
just to be pushed back in again
I can't escape your grasp
A year flies by
And I still see your face
'I need you' you say, as you push me away
Tears roll down my face
I'm still longing for your embrace
'I love you' you say, as I'm falling to the ground
What am I hearing as you make no sound?
My heart is gone
You took it from me
Can't you see Rebecca?
I'm all that you'll ever need
But, I'll never have you
As long as you're away from me.
