030510 She's Too Happy Poem by Manonton Dalan

030510 She's Too Happy

a frantic call
from a helpless stranded
at twilight winter
misplacing a key
to her house

neighbors were gone
foreclose houses
in rows, boarded doors
overgrown grass

sad, what's going on
america the mighty place
most are in tears
just to get by this mess

i came to help her
sitting on stool
inside a dollar store
i could see her eyes spark

i have to take her
to her friends house
she's too happy
i was there
