Palious Thatcher Poems

I yearn to be free,
But there is something inside,
Something dreadful is holding me,
The beast and monster to me has cried,
...

Where do the Ripples end?
Seeds long since sown still a harvest will grow,
What power have I to control where they go,
Who they feed,
...

The fear of the mind sitting behind these foreign eyes of mine keeps me awake.
Live to die, die to live.
No balance to emotion no happy place,
Any joy swallowed by pain,
...

The rain of the soul
Falls hardest not during
The thunderings of life
But amidst the quiet moments
...

What I am to do
The hole inside
Envelops all emotion
As an event horizon.
...

Today is a new day
As yesterday
And all days before.
What makes the idea
...

Knowledge, is it liberty or bondage?
Liberty while knowing the end result
Or bondage to take the road less traveled
I am bound by my heart that will excuse no failure.
...

What is pain?
Is it just weak?
To show these emotions,
Of which I speak?
...

Dreams of magical transformations blind,
A leaf to the wind is the fickle mind,
Whispers of the evil one,
Work when you get there,
...

Monster Named Me

I yearn to be free,
But there is something inside,
Something dreadful is holding me,
The beast and monster to me has cried,
Cried through all the day long,
Bitter is its nagging song,
Ballad after ballad, death and pain,
I fear hope willn't return again,
Oppressed and abused all hopes lost,
My heart is the one that pays the cost,
The sorrow and pain they beat in my chest,
Like a thousand drums, oh, when shall they rest?
