Where Do The Ripples End? Poem by Palious Thatcher

Where Do The Ripples End?

Where do the Ripples end?
Seeds long since sown still a harvest will grow,
What power have I to control where they go,
Who they feed,
Or who they leave, with a simple or dire need,
Could I have been more penitent?
Opened my eyes beyond my own vantage view,
Of my life of ease, yet many suffer,
Ripples fly forth,
Each new action a stone into the lake of life.
No stone can be retrieved,
No ripples will be calmed,
How can I change my careless dispersion into a more accurate means of lifting loving and Comforting hearts.
I can see neither harvest nor reach in the end
But the births thereof are in my hands.
