When I first recieved him he lit up my life

Fifty cents, a box of cigs, and a fist full of lint balls in my pocket
With a dream to grow healthy and rich
But, thats all I got
An average nine to five

One day at a time is all I can take
I pray each day for a miracle to happen
And each time I can feel that slip of faith
No matter what they say or what they do

I gave you the best part of me
I've stood by you through thick and thin
But this time I'm letting go
You said that you would be here when all the others are gone

I love the way you sing to me
Your hands are like blenders
Churning my body to butter
As you caress my handles I can feel the shakes
