I was born in Austin MN but was raised in IL. I first got into poetry when I was 12 Edgar Allen Poe being my first and still favorite poets. I mostly write depressing poems, but sometimes will break that habit and write some up beat ones.)

The Shade

I am of no importance
I am the one behind the scenes
You see what I want you to see
The scars are hidden by this illusion

You on the other hand....

You are pure
You are important
You draw back the shade
I am vulnerable
The scars are shown

The scars begin to heal....

I am the one behind the scenes
You reveled me
You don't see what I want you to see
The illusion has faded

I love you....

I am complete
You nused my scars
You walked away
The confusion sets

You never cared

Pain is all I feel
New wounds appear over the scars
I feel used
You never loved me
