Mehraneh Hosseini Poems

They say you will go to heaven
If you have a bun in the oven
After passing one and seven
You would pass one month again
...

When there is no space to bear out
A politician with enormous clout!
The one who calls you a litter lout
Try not to show how
...

Since the time I had begun,
My life was always dun.
It was somewhat spartan.
No one said, you are a little son
...

One day
I will come, and bring a message.
...

I speak out of the deep of night
out of the deep of darkness
and out of the deep of night I speak
...

My whole being is a dark chant
which will carry you
perpetuating you
to the dawn of eternal growths and blossoming
...

I went to the pond
Hoping to see the reflection of my loneliness in the water

There was no water in the pond.
...

“Where is the friend’s house? ”
Horseman asked by twilight and,
The sky paused.
...

That crow which flew over our heads
and descended into the disturbed thought
of a vagabond cloud
and the sound of which traversed
...

I cried all day in the mirror.
Spring
Had entrusted my window to the trees' green delusion.
My body would not fit n the cocoon of my loneliness.
...

You are kinder than a leaf under the kisses of rain
The wakefulness of stars in the eyes of streams
The mirror of your eyes the unity of morning and shore
Your rare smile a star-pouring morning
...

I've had a dream that someone is coming.
I've dreamt of a red star,
and my eyes lids keep twitching
and my shoes keep snapping to attention
...

In my small night, ah
the wind has a date with the leaves of the trees
in my small night there is agony of destruction
listen
...

We shouldn’t muddy the water
A pigeon may drink it down the road
Or in a far away grove a starling may bathe
Or in the village, a jug may be filled
...

Night of Pleasant Loneliness

Listen, the world's farthest bird is singing.
The Night is fluid, whole, and open.

I am NOT a poet.'Star', 'Mother to be' and 'RUN&RUN&RUN' are my own poems if we call them poems? Other poems are breathtaking poems from my country's talented poets, I translate some of them and some of these translations are not mine, so do not consider me as their poet, I only try to show how high culture and background my country has. The Best Poem Of Mehraneh Hosseini

** Mother To Be **

They say you will go to heaven
If you have a bun in the oven
After passing one and seven
You would pass one month again
It's beyond all men's ken

Teetering on the brink
Not allowed to drink
Hardly sleeping a wink
Trying to be in the pink
If not, fall down and sink

Least said soonest mended
All things you have ever said
About how much you suffered
At first sight disappeared
The best thing since sliced bread
Promoting over everybody's head

That's why we have always heard
Being a mother is the best thing you have ever felt.
