Leah DeCresce Poems

His eyes are green.
Two almond orbs of liquid neon,
nitrogen,
he ignites me with each glance.
...

Pale white skin stretched over brittle bone,
blue eyes nervously question the body below.
A vast landscape awaits, longing for touch.

You are the shifting bluegreen of the ocean,
all tumbling waves & chaotic life beneath.

You are a mess, once my mess;
...

dark as death,
corpselike sleep reigns over me.
a distant oblivion,
a glimpse of the horizon.

the air is thick with our unspoken words

Gravitation towards the worst in life,
saved by the smiling, hidden meaning of eyes.
'The sky's the limit! ' he said,
and that day, it was blue-

When you took back your words,
where did they go?
I'd like to find them, catch them,
put them on a tape.

i saw straight through.
and every time, i waited.
waited for you to come around again.

Quickmoving boy, you were gone as you came.
No hellogoodbye,
you came in fluid motion.
Movement, gone in shortened breaths.
...

When you go, make it easy for me.
Take my resentment with you,
& the dirty deeds we've done.
Let me forget.

oblivious, he's miles away
but not farther than her trust can cover.
He's laying on the floor, sandwiched between two beautiful girls.

Remind me that you were always there.
What I've forgotten can be learned with time.
And time is all we have.

the truth, it lies in the past.

it was spur of the moment.

The Best Poem Of Leah DeCresce

A Newboy

His eyes are green.
Two almond orbs of liquid neon,
nitrogen,
he ignites me with each glance.
They burn me, melt me
like sulfuric acid.
Condemn me to a puddle of sloppy,
human jelly on the floor.
I am silly-putty as he stares,
molded into a clay heart, I beat.
Throb.
Pulsate.
He smiles & I am nothingness.
I cease to exist.
He is the sun, exploding;
a black hole engulfing my silly clay heart-planet.
I stumble, & fall- for him,
for those luminescent eyes,
for that glistening smile.
A hand outstretched.
I fumble, grab, stand like a newborn deer.
But it was him, & those eyes give me strength.
And so we leave, his hand holds mine,
and I am complete.
