I wandered lonely in the crowd,
Bereft of rhyme or reason,
A jackdaw whispered in my ear
'You will be hung for Treason! '

Do you really believe that Jesus saves?
Flesh rotting away, bones turned to dust,
And what of the Saviour we all trust?

The days drag by. I fritter
Them away. Old and bitter,
I call my fellow humans apes
And live on a diet of sour grapes.

You were my sweet terrorist
Who hijacked my heart
And blew it to smithereens!
I remember our secret tryst

My husband soon gets back from work
And he's a callous unfeeling jerk!
The house is clean and oh so neat
And he'll get his supper like a special treat -

You say you love me - what a bore!
I seem to have heard those words before!
Quite frankly, dear, they make me sick,
Love's just some kind of biological trick
...

Life is callous, cold and cruel,
He found that out when he went to school.

He had a hopeless youthful crush
...

If you bought me a bunch of roses
I'd call you a silly fool,
Like that time you carried my satchel
All the way home from school,

I gave you my friendship in all its innocence,
You took it and trampled it in the dust,
Later they called an ambulance,
You had desecrated my love and my trust.
